James Davenport
Civil Engineering Technician
Hometown: Portland, Oregon
James was born and raised in the Portland Metropolitan Area. Since he was young, he was always interested in architecture and engineering.
His father owned a business that focused on high end architectural woodworking and design. This led him to begin studying drafting and architectural design in high school, which got him a job collaborating with his father as a drafting and design assistant. James specialized in 3-D modeling and CNC programming. Most of his drafting and modeling experience focused on historic renovations and cabinet design.
While working, James had come to realize his passion for problem solving. This had inspired him to pursue an education in Civil Engineering. He is currently enrolled at Rogue Community College and plans to transfer to Oregon State University to complete his studies.
James loves to mountain bike and play guitar. He lives in Medford, Oregon, with his wife Kerra.
